Welcome to Society Link, a support service operating and connecting people together in regional Victoria.
We provide a wide range of supports to self and plan managed NDIS participants, such as:
- community access,
- one on one/individual support
- a range of respite options including short term accommodation or in home care,
- peer mentoring,
- counselling,
- group activities,
- workplace and/or business mentoring,
- support with activities of daily living, and
- preparation and ongoing support for employment related skills development and training.
Our primary focuses are to assist our clients with activities of daily living, as well as to provide tailored supports to each individual to assist in integration within local communities, social groups, supported interaction opportunities, and to explore the wonderful world around us.
We believe in the importance of connecting and linking people to the community and through this, we are continuously striving to provide high quality, individualised supports to each participant we assist.
Servicing areas in and around Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula, Surfcoast, Macedon Ranges and Ballarat, we are dedicated to supporting NDIS participants, through our tailored collaborations with many local businesses and enterprises, we focus on delivering high quality services to people living with disability.

Our Staff
Chris
Introducing Chris, the founder of Society Link and one of our very talented support workers. Chris is a man of many interests and talents that include cooking, Apple products, bike riding, classic and modern motor vehicles, music of all kinds, bushwalking, learning about Australian history, visiting historic buildings and getting out and exploring our beautiful greater local region. He is also an avid sports fan and is particularly fond of AFL, cricket, snooker and darts.
Prior to working as a qualified certificate IV Disability support worker, Chris worked as a Disability Employment Consultant and Mentor, making him well-equipped and experienced to support NDIS participants on their journey, whatever they may be. Prior to working in his current field, Chris worked as a chef, spare parts interpreter, a warehouse supervisor and a sales team leader and has gained many skills both personally and professionally. He brings these skills to work with him each day to share with everyone he meets and supports, whether it be teaching someone how to cook or working on well-being.
Chris lives on the Bellarine Peninsula and travels all over the greater Geelong region and Surf Coast to support participants and always has a smile on his face. Jolly by name and jolly by nature is our Chris.
Braedy
Braedy is a passionate and dedicated staff member at Society Link. With almost 10 years experience as a qualified support worker, Braedy is highly skilled in providing support to individuals with disabilities and has a strong background in youth leadership and mentoring. Prior to joining the industry Braedy worked as an integration aid.
In her free time, Braedy enjoys sightseeing, acting in theatre and drama productions, and singing in musicals. She is also an avid coffee lover and enjoys making smoothies and healthy meals for her friends and family.
With a qualification being a cert IV in Disability, Braedy is currently working on completing her Diploma in Youth Work and looks forward to expanding her role and scope at Society Link in the future. She is a compassionate and empathetic person who is always eager to help others and make a positive difference in the lives of those around her. With her wacky sense of humour and can do attitude, Braedy is a unique and valuable cog to the Society Link wheel.
Nathan
Nathan, better known as 'Naf', is the Ballarat and surrounds support worker and operations manager for Society Link. With many years of experience being amongst and working with troubled youth and youth housing, he understands people from all walks of life and helps them see their abilities, not their disabilities or barriers.
Naf is also very musical and can play the drums exceptionally well. He has even played with notable Australian bands and his drumming skills can be found
on YouTube. In addition to his musical talents, Naf is very tech savvy and an avid gamer. He loves V8 cars, particularly Holdens, and has owned a few over the years.
He recently purchased his first home in regional Victoria and is known for his empathy, understanding, and calm demeanor. Naf is also a pool player, having represented Victoria multiple times. He is currently studying for his Cert IV in Disability. With his extensive experience and expertise, Naf is a valuable asset to Society Link and the Ballarat community.
Bree
Meet Bree, a certified IV in disability and a seasoned professional in the disability and aged care field. With two years of experience under her belt in the disability sector and a previous managerial role at McDonalds, Bree brings a wealth of knowledge, excellent customer/client service/experience, youthful exuberance, energy and expertise to Society Link.
A peoples person at heart, Bree loves to support vulnerable individuals and help them achieve their goals. In her free time, Bree enjoys staying active, keeping fit and exploring the beautiful landscapes of Geelong, her hometown where she was born and raised. Come and meet Bree, and let her help.
Jo
Say hi to Jo. Jo is a warm, friendly, and approachable person who always puts her clients needs first. She has her cert IV in disability and has experience working one on one either in home or via community access and also at centre-based programs.
Previously Jo has also worked and has vast experience with vulnerable people, such as prisoners, and has experience with people who have had drug/alcohol addiction, mental health issues, and intellectual disabilities. She is also experienced in working with First Nations people and vulnerable children.
In her free time, Jo enjoys walking along the river or beach, catching up with friends, watching movies, and cooking. Jo is a very caring and nurturing person with a huge and kind heart and will go above and beyond her duties to help people and she always appreciates everyone for who they are on an individual level.
Kassidy
Please welcome Kassidy, or "Kass", a talented and dedicated support worker who has just started her second year in the field. She recently joined the Society Link team to gain more experience and work with a wider range of people.
Kass has experience working with clients of all ages, providing respite, community access, and in-home care services. She is currently a third-year sport and exercise science student at Deakin, where she is pursuing her passion and will decide between exercise physiology or occupational therapy.
In her free time, Kass enjoys playing netball, staying active, visiting the beach, spending time with family and friends, cooking, baking, and scouring op shops for that elusive bargain.
Her previous customer service experience in cafes and theme parks has honed her ability to bring a positive attitude to everyone and everything she does. Additionally, she is a dedicated sports coach and netball umpire.
As she begins 2023 with a fresh start, Kass is eager to continue growing and learning as a support worker with Society Link.
Lachy
Lachy's love for adventure and new experiences is reflected in his hobbies, with a particular fondness for catching the latest movies at the cinema and discovering new and exciting places to eat. His passion for fast cars also extends to his classic Nissan 200SX, which he reserves for special occasions.
Lachy's inquisitive nature and desire to learn about the world and the people around him make him an excellent support worker. He is always eager to listen, ask questions, and observe to better himself as a person and to provide the best support possible for those he works with.
Despite working remotely from the main Geelong Society Link team, Lachy has made a home for himself in the Macedon Ranges, specifically in Gisborne, where a previous season of the TV hit The Block was filmed. He enjoys the semi-rural lifestyle and the sense of community that comes with it.

- Community Access: Society Link helps NDIS participants with a variety of community access activities, including shopping, exploring local parks and gardens, and participating in social activities such as movies, concerts, and shows. They also support individual hobbies and interests, such as music, art, and hands-on activities, as well as promoting fitness, health, and good mental health through activities like sports, walking, swimming, and connecting with sporting groups and clubs. Additionally, Society Link helps participants get out into nature and enjoy some fresh air, encouraging them to take full advantage of the beautiful regions in which they live.
- Respite & Short Term Accommodation: Sometimes, participants may need a break from their usual routine. That's where our respite and short-term accommodation services come in. We offer a range of options to suit individual needs and preferences, whether it's a few hours of respite or a longer stay in accommodation.
- Personal Care: Our personal care services are designed to help NDIS participants with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Our team is trained to provide high-quality, compassionate care that meets the individual needs of each participant.
- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living: Our team is here to help NDIS participants with a range of activities of daily living, including meal preparation, cooking, laundry, and cleaning. We work closely with each participant to understand their needs and preferences and tailor our services accordingly.
- Food Preparation: Proper nutrition is important for everyone, and it's especially important for NDIS participants. Our team is trained to assist with preparing high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the individual needs of each participant.
- Employability Skills Training: For NDIS participants who are interested in finding employment, we offer employability skills training services to help them develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the workforce.
- In-Workplace Mentoring: For NDIS participants who are already employed or are seeking employment, we offer in-workplace mentoring to provide support and guidance as they navigate the workplace.
- Group Programs: Our group programs provide an opportunity for NDIS participants to socialise, learn new skills, and engage in activities with others. These programs can be tailored to suit the interests and needs of each participant. See below for further information on our programs.
- Weekend Activities: We offer a range of activities on the weekends to provide NDIS participants with opportunities to explore the world, attend events, and have fun. These activities can be tailored to suit the interests and needs of each participant.

- Sportz Nutz: A program for sports lovers of all abilities, we connect with local sporting clubs/groups offering activities across a wide range of genres. Regular trips to sporting events and tours are also available.
- Your Zone: A program that focuses on individual goals and helps participants plan their way in life. The program helps participants achieve their dreams and goals.
- Weekend Where To?: A program that offers a range of local, regional and urban activities and events, allowing participants to choose activities that they want to do at their own pace.
- Gastronomy Gatherings: A program for food lovers, offering the chance to try local food and learn about the journey of food from farm to plate.
- Cinema Squad: A program for movie lovers, offering the chance to watch films together and discuss them afterwards.
